About us
Apapalotl Tourist and Cultural Tours is a project born in the heart of Xochimilco. We fuse art, culture, and nature to reclaim the value of our ancestral chinampas and the fresh air of the Anáhuac region.
Our identity is based on transforming the perception of Xochimilco. We don't seek to be just a destination for massive parties, but a space for deep connection with Xochimilco's roots. We are guardians of tradition and promoters of conscious and responsible tourism, supported by the General Law of Culture and Cultural Rights of Mexico City.

Our Key Experiences:
Conscious Navigation: Guided kayak and trajinera tours through canals and chinampas, with a historical and cultural focus narrated by trained local guides.
Art on the Chinampa: Unique cultural events such as plays, music concerts, and art exhibitions held directly on the chinampas.
Gastronomy and Lodging: Tasting of authentic local cuisine and the option to stay overnight in cabins integrated into the natural environment.
Heritage Education: Craft workshops, heritage talks, educational field days, and visits to historical sites.
Our Methodology: To ensure a positive impact, we operate with routes that minimize environmental impact and maintain strict community coordination. We implemented a code of conduct for visitors and dedicated part of our efforts to a preservation fund, ensuring that every trip contributes to the maintenance of traditions and the well-being of the Xochimilco community.
